Canadian singer, songwriter, and musician Daniel Lavoie began his professional musical career in the ’70s. He is a talented performer, appearing to be as comfortable singing in English as in his native French language. Lavoie recorded his debut album in 1979. Many others followed, some in each of the above mentioned languages, a few actually done in both. Between recording and touring, he also landed parts in rock operas, increasing his fan base in new territories. Daniel Lavoie was born in Manitoba, Canada. He had the normal early love for music that many artists share. After polishing his skills by performing for small audiences, he moved up to recording. His first English album, Nirvana Blue, was released under the Apex Records label in 1979. It was followed a year later by Les Felix, and then in 1981 by Daniel Lavoie – Collection. In 1982, it was Cravings. Two years later he completed the album Tension, Attention. Lavoie spent the next decade and beyond switching between recording in French and English, trying to please fans from many parts of the world. Some of the tunes from his 1994 album, Woman to Man, are "Here in the Heart," "Running Into Walls," "Paris Calling," "I Wish It Would Rain," "Looking Out for You," and "Hello Louise."

The colours of The Magical Forest glow in this remarkable recording which brings together Sinikka Langeland’s Norwegian-Finnish-Swedish Starflowers quintet with the singers of the Trio Mediӕval. It’s an inspired concept: the Trio Mediӕval, with their affinity for folk music and their unique vocal blend, adapt themselves ideally to Sinikka’s sound-world, which is once archaic, timeless and contemporary. The quintet members, all bandleaders in their own right, are amongst the most characterful players in Scandinavia today, and Sinikka sets them free to improvise around her cycle of songs, built upon myths and legends of the world tree. The Magical Forest was recorded at Oslo’s Rainbow Studio in February 2015, and produced by Manfred Eicher.

Reissue with the latest DSD remastering. An aggressive bit of funky fusion – a set that matches the talents of Japanese trumpeter Shunzoh Ohno with some hip American grooves from Reggie Lucas on guitar, Cedric Lawson on keyboards, Don Pate on bass, and Roy Haynes on drums! The sound is very full-on – in a mid 70s Miles Davis electric mode, but with perhaps a bit more of a funk touch on the best cuts – almost a refinement of the groove that Miles hit in Japan, fusing the energy into some great tunes that really pack a sharp punch! Haynes’ drums are surprisingly heavy at points – and titles include "You Dig That?", "But It’s Not So", and "I Remember That It Happened".

It’s been over three years since Australia’s finest storyteller Sara Storer’s latest album release but the wait is finally over! Lovegrass, the new album from Sara Storer will be released on August 23, 2013 through ABC Music/Universal Music Australia. Since the release of Calling Me Home: The Best Of Sara Storer in 2010, Sara Storer has got married had her second and third child.
Lovegrass features 12 original tracks including songs with John Williamson and Greg Storer.
Sara Storer began her recording career with ABC Music, releasing the Gold selling album Chasing Buffalo (2000) followed by Platinum selling album Beautiful Circle (2002) and Gold selling album Firefly (2004) before again topping the Country Album sales charts with Silver Skies (2007) and her Greatest Hits collection Calling Me Home: The Best of Sara Storer in 2010.
Sara Storer has gone on to become one of the most respected singer/songwriters in Australia. She is an ARIA nominated artist who has a won a staggering 14 Golden Guitar Awards in addition to her Platinum and Gold albums.

Όλοι οι φίλοι τού καλού ελληνικού τραγουδιού γνωρίζουμε τον Χρήστο Λεττονό (1949-1994) από την παρουσία του σε δίσκους-διαμάντια της δεκαετίας του ’70 κυρίως.

Αναφερόμαστε στις «Μαρτυρίες» (1974) και την «Τετραλογία» (1975) του Δήμου Μούτση, στο «Ελλαδέξ» (1975) του Γιάννη Λογοθέτη, τον «Μορμόλη» (1974) του Γιάννη Σπανού, τη δική του «Γραφειοκρατία» (1976) με τις ωραίες κατά τόπους ροκιές τού Γιάννη Κιουρκτσόγλου, το «Ένας Έλληνας Σήμερα» (1975) από το θεατρικό του Δημήτρη Κολλάτου, σε μουσική Γιώργου Χατζηνάσιου, τα τόσο περήφανα και θλιμμένα «Στρατιωτικά» (1982), με το “Chelsea hotel #2” του Leonard Cohen (για το οποίο γράφαμε πριν λίγες μέρες).

Η ποιητική συλλογή του Χ. Λεττονού από το 1970

Μετά τα μέσα του ’80 ο Χρήστος Λεττονός θα διακόψει την επαφή του με τα καλλιτεχνικά, θ’ ασχοληθεί με την καλλιέργεια της γης, για να φύγει εντελώς αναπάντεχα από τη ζωή, την 4η Ιουνίου 1994, στα 45 χρόνια του, όταν κάηκε μαζί με το φίλο του Χαράλαμπο Σουραπά (πρώην ιδιοκτήτη της ΕΒΓΑ, όπως είχαν γράψει τότε οι εφημερίδες), στο σπίτι τους, στη Μερέντα του Μαρκόπουλου. 
Τον Αύγουστο του 1970 ο Χρήστος Λεττονός τυπώνει με δικά του έξοδα την ποιητική συλλογή του «Εποχές». Είναι ποιήματα που γράφτηκαν στο διάστημα 1965-1970, όταν ο Λεττονός βρισκόταν στα εφηβικά και μετεφηβικά του χρόνια. 
Απ’ αυτή τη συλλογή επιλέγω τη «Φάρσα».
