TENTS release their debut LP Stars On The GPS Sky in May which bubbles over with that secretly most sexy ingredients to truly great pop: A sparkling intelligence.
Back in the day, forming a band used to be about escaping the prescribed fate of a working class existence. These days, of course, it mostly provides occupation therapy for glided youth with high-level status anxiety. We don’t know if this applies to TENTS, and it’s none of our business either. What is apparent though, is that they’re very good at taking the piss out of it. In “Sabbatical”, the first taster released ahead of their album Stars On The GPS Sky, they recommend spending that gap year tackling Kilimanjaro, taking a panting class in Florence, volunteering on a farm or kayaking the seas. In any case: “Move your asses!”
