Billy Ray Reynolds is a legendary singer, songwriter, musician, producer, and actor. Perhaps best known for his early years as a songwriter, rhythm guitarist and harmony vocalist for Waylon Jennings and leader of his band, The Waylors, BRR has spent a storied career writing hit songs for some of Nashville’s most iconic recording artists, including Waylon, as well as Johnny Cash, Tanya Tucker, John Conlee, Jake Owen, Dickey Betts,Toby Keith, Eddie Arnold, and many other top selling artists. He has three solo albums of original music, which include “Whole Lot of Memories,” “Privates to the Front,” and a gospel album, “Follow the Son.”
His newest album is a 14-song collection written and recorded with his wife, songwriter and musician, Lora Reynolds, titled “Country Music Love Affair.” Lora is an accomplished writer and vocalist who also plays Dobro and lap steel on their new album. They have written and performed together for over 10 years, since meeting at a professional songwriter event while Lora lived in Pensacola, Florida. Today, they make their home in Billy Ray’s native area of Mt. Olive, Mississippi, where they enjoy reading, writing and recording music in their studio, and performing in churches, listening rooms, clubs, and at festivals, usually with their dog, Rowdy, tagging along.

Over het algemeen zijn we hier bij de Global Groove vooral
aanhangers van het lied. Instumentale platen maken toch
minder kans geplaatst te worden. Een enkele keer mag
hierop echter een uitzondering worden gemaakt. Als het
een plaatje als deze betreft waarop de accordeon de rol
van de vocalist heeft overgenomen bijvoorbeeld.
Deze plaat is nog als gloedje nieuw..

In general here at the Global groove we are supporters of
the song. Instrumental records make a significent smaller
chance of being posted. A single time however an exception
is made. If it concerns an album on which the acordeon took
over the place of the vocals for instance.
this record is in mint condition..

Όχι, ο εξαιρετικός τραγουδοποιός, κιθαρίστας, μπασίστας και τραγουδιστής του bluesδεν ηχογράφησε στα sixtiesπαρότι τον ανακάλυψε ο David Evansλίγο καιρό πριν πεθάνει (Νοέμβριος, 1968).

Ο Johnny Templeθα μείνει στην ιστορία για πολλά καταπληκτικά τραγούδια, όπως το “Louise Louise blues” για παράδειγμα (ηχογραφημένο στο Σικάγο για την Decca, τον Νοέμβριο του 1936), όμως σ’ εκείνο που υπήρξε πράγματι πρωτοπόρος και καινοτόμος ήταν στην εφαρμογή της τεχνικής των walking μπάσων στην κιθάρα, ιδέα την οποίαν πήρε και επέκτεινε λίγο αργότερα ο Robert Johnson γράφοντας ιστορία.

Αν και ο Johnny Templeθα βρεθεί στο Σικάγο, τη δεκαετία του ’50, παίζοντας με τους φυσαρμονικίστες Big Walter Horton και Billy Boy Arnold, εντούτοις ο ηλεκτρικός ήχος δεν φάνηκε ποτέ να τον κερδίζει. Αποφασισμένος να επιστρέψει στον Μισισιπή, εγκατέλειψε οριστικώς τη μουσική αρνούμενος να ξαναηχογραφήσει.

Να σημειώσουμε μόνον πως ο Johnny Temple θα γράψει πολλές «πλευρές» ανάμεσα στα χρόνια 1935-1950 (κυρίως για τη Decca).
