Την πιο σωστή εικόνα του ελληνικού χιπισμού την αποτυπώνει ο αείμνηστος Φραγκίσκος Μανέλλης στις ταινίες του. Αυτός ήταν ο χιπισμός στην Ελλάδα.

Δεν ξέρω τι σκεφτόταν, τότε (στα late sixties), ο Πουλικάκος για τους χίπιδες, όμως πολλά χρόνια αργότερα (14/8/2015) είπε στο lifo.gr (σε ερωτήσεις του Α. Μποσκοΐτη): 
Είχαν πολύ κόσμο τότε τα Μάταλα, ξένους ε; 
Πολύ κόσμο! Μόνο ξένους! Ήμουν ο μόνος Έλληνας ανάμεσα σε τετρακόσιους ξένους! (σ.σ. και καλά...).
Κανονικός χίπης, δηλαδή. 
Ε, όχι και χίπης! 
Μα πώς; Μάταλα, 1967, LSD, τι άλλο; 
Όποιος βρισκόταν στα Μάταλα, δεν ήταν χίπης! Το θέμα είναι πώς αισθανόσουν εκεί. Οι χίπις ήταν η διεθνής εμπορευματοποίηση του beatnik κινήματος (σ.σ. αυτό δεν είναι απολύτως σωστό, χρειάζεται διευκρίνιση).

Ο ελληνικός χιπισμός, τέλος πάντων, ήταν μια ντροπή, για όσους έβλεπαν ή έστω και σήμερα βλέπουν λίγο παραπέρα, και αυτή την «ντροπή» σατίριζε με τον πιο ωμό, άξεστο και σκληρό τρόπο ο Μανέλλης στις ταινίες της εποχής. 

(Όχι, ο Μανέλλης δεν έβλεπε «λίγο παραπέρα»... χτυπούσε όμως διάνα).

Grupo formado en 1986 en la alicantina población de Elda como continuación de Tupés Oscuros. Ellos eran Fabián Villena (voz y guitarra), Patricio Caparrós (bajo) y Joaquín “Chimo” Llopis (batería).

Consiguen grabar un Mini-Lp en Madrid para la independiente BIS Records en 1986 (BIS=Brigadas Industriales de Sonido)de título homónimo, en el que colaboran Ulises Montero y Charly “Alphaville”. Consiguen buenas críticas en Madrid y Barcelona.

Destacaron varios temas, siempre desmarcándose de los circuitos comerciales, como ‘Mi corista favorita’, ‘La piel del sur’, ‘La ley’ o ‘La calle’, que fueron recogidos en diferentes discos: ‘La piel del sur’ y ‘La sed’.
