My Big Tomorrow is the second creation from the mind of singer/songwriter Bobby Sutton. Bobby’s music career began in 1995 as guitarist for the regional Virginia based touring band Puddleduck. Born in Charleston, and with heavy family ties in South Carolina, he lives here now and calls it home. After settling in, the constant songwriting began due to a ferocious love for music and inspiration from all the greats and regional songwriters like Jason Isbell, Ryan Adams, etc. In 2011, Bobby created The Rival Brothers, a full 5 piece band, and it clicked. With Bobby as the songwriter, The Brothers started recording and playing shows. They created the EP "SAY" which created an immediate buzz with local venues and radio stations followed by a full year of unforgettable live shows. Last year The Rival Brothers creatively went in their own directions. With no time lost, Bobby immediately got back in the studio and the songs began to pour out. at Plaugh’s House Recording Studio in Lexington, SC as well as The Beat Cave Columbia SCSouth Carolina. Cory Plaugh is the producer with contributions from Mel Washington from Regenerate Records. The cast of artists that helped create this record is exciting to say the least. Featured on his record are: Les Hall, Brandon Michael Bull, Hunter Duncan, and Jeremy Sakovich just to name a few. The record is on track for release in February 2014 and show dates across the Southeast. As always thank you for your support of local musicians.With a full album finished and a great band including Dave Britt on guitar and vocals Miles McGee on drums and Jamie Beresford on bass. The band has been cutting its teeth around South Carolina and is developing an unforgettable live show! We you enjoy the music!!

With a fiddle in one hand and a guitar in the other, Cork based Clare Sands is a singer-songwriter, musician, composer, and music teacher. She performs in a variety of genres, her own material being a mixture of Blues & Folk. With deep roots in Northern Ireland and County Wexford, Clare started playing the fiddle at the age of four, learning tunes off her father Seamus on a weekly basis. As well as playing Traditional Irish Music from an early age with different family members, Clare also trained classically on the violin.
Her mother Susan bought her a guitar in her early teens, and gave her a strong love of the Blues, playing legends like Muddy Waters and Eva Cassidy on the way to school. She soon found a love for song writing, and used whatever instruments that lay around the house like the guitar, the piano, the bodhrán or the mandolin to accompany herself.
Having spent the summer of 2013 gigging around New York City, Clare returned to Cork to finish her degree in Music and Italian in UCC. During her time there she has met fabulous musicians such as Aisling Urwin, a singer-songwriter and harpist hailing from Kenmare, Co. Kerry.Their Irish tour in April/May 2014 to promote Clare’s debut single, ‘Change Is A Comin’ was hugely successful, having played 20 prestigious venues around the country, as well as venues across Holland and Germany. They subsequently released a ‘Live in Charlies Bar’ album, which Clare promoted on her tour of New York City during the summer of 2015. As well as playing in a Folk/Blues duo, Clare has a Jazz/Blues Quintet ‘Clare Sands Quintet’, plays in a Funk-Blues group in Cork City every week ‘What’s That Sound?’ and various Traditional Irish music and Gypsy Jazz groups.
Clare works as a full time music teacher and session musician playing with various Irish artists, Luka Bloom, Mundy, Anna Mitchell, Hank Wedel, John Blek, Dylan Howe, to name a few. Clare is also set to release her debut album ‘Join me at the Table’ October 7th, 2016 (Available worldwide on Itunes). The album is an eclectic mix of Blues/Folk/Jazz/Trad, recorded by musician and producer Christian Best of Monique Studios (O Emperor, Mick Flannery).

Orgone are back with Cali Fever, their second album for Ubiquity and a giant step from anything they have ever released in the past. This is a band in ascendancy, with more focus and purpose, and gigging like their lives depend on it.
They pull on hard-nosed, stripped-down, New Orleans influences on tracks like "The Last Fool" and "Crazy Queen." And effortlessly shift gears through more uptempo Afrobeat and Brazilian informed tracks like "Matanza" and summer anthem "It’s Time Tonight." Unlike previous releases, Cali Fever features all-original compositions, and no covers. With lead singer Fanny Franklin at the helm, the band rip through soul cuts like "Give It Up" and "Overtime" with a wild West Coast flair.
"Cali Fever refers to the vibes and energy coming out of California, specifically Los Angeles," explains the band. "Coastal environments breed a certain sound, like New Orleans, Brooklyn, the Bay Area, and Miami. Los Angeles has a sound and a feeling for all of us and that’s how we approached this record. It’s an amalgamation of the eclectic things we’ve learned & heard mostly growing up in LA. We aspire to represent where we come from."
Emerging from an evergreen Los Angeles soulful musical family (band members have also played with Connie Price and the Keystones, Breakestra, Dakah, Rhythm Roots Allstars, The Lions, the Simple Citizens, etc) Orgone released The Killion Floor, their debut album on Ubiquity in 2007. Tracks like "Dialed Up" and "Funky Nassau" established the bands funk and up-tempo soul credibility worldwide, scoring them an Adidas campaign, and tour dates with Little Brother, and backing-band gigs for The Pharcyde, Plantlife (including a BBC performance for Jools Holland), Bun B, Pharoahe Monche, and New Orleans funk legend Eddie Bo.
Despite its warm reception, their debut album got off to a shaky release with management switches and half the band wrapped-up in tour commitments with other acts. Fortunately the core band members (and fans) never gave up on Orgone who spent the last couple of years re-organizing the line-up (now set at 9 pieces), and working on new material. Their gig schedule eventually picked-up steam which also helped them define their sound. With a deep-rooted appreciation of funk, soul, and Afrobeat, Orgone naturally slide through multiple styles both live and on record. And their intimate understanding and appreciation of DJ culture lends a hard, explosive edge to their music.
"While The Killion Floor was a culmination spanning 4 years of recording, and featuring past members of the band, the new record is much more dialed in and immediate," they explain. "It is a proper representation of what Orgone has developed into, while ascribing to the same vision of honesty & grit we’ve always aimed for."
Their dynamic live shows, and a huge will to get out and play hard to as many people as possible caught the attention of (concert promoter) Goldenvoice VP David Lefkowitz, who has since taken the band under his wing for management.
Orgone have recently played live on KCRWs Morning Becomes Eclectic, SXSW, and at the New Orleans Jazz Fest. Plus they’ve opened for the likes of Al Green, Gil Scott-Heron, and Sharon Jones, and toured with the Roots, Greyboy Allstars and Groundation. Their ability to get any crowd on its feet is testament to their eclectic outlook on funk and soul. This is not a retro funk-by-numbers band simply re-hashing the past. Cali Fever is the evolution of a band dedicated to bringing tight, tough and honest get-on-your-feet unpretentious funk and soul music.

Para mi, LATIDOS significa sentimientos, es el ritmo, el latir de la música.

Halstead said it best, “Bob, it’s all three chords and an attitude. We’re not writing symphonies here. Essentially, it’s all just Balderdash!”. At that point , the band had a name.
For the last decade, Balderdash! has been writing, recording and playing in the studio, with the occasional gig. We had all done that a million times and realized we we’re never going to get rich.
And then along came Adriana.
Shortly after moving to Tulsa, Adriana, a singer/songwriter from Chicago fell into the mix.
Late that first night, Bob handed her a guitar. Blood was shed and the bond was formed.
She became a regular. The truth is the band quickly realized they had found a kindred spirit.
This record is the proof. Adriana’s songs shine throughout.
The rest of the songs were made for her to sing.

Nigerian music composer, vocalist/percussionist Tosin Aribisala is no newcomer to the music scene. He is primarily known as a master drummer with a tight groove and has performed, recorded and toured around the world with big names like Taj Mahal, Baaba Maal, Spyro Gyra, Femi Kuti and a long list of others.

As a bandleader, Tosin continues to perform and tour internationally. He has recorded four albums so far. He says, “My music is a mixture of African rhythmic idioms and elements of jazz and blues, with lyrics of hope and human realities.”

With his new single, “What Are We Gonna Do?” Tosin does not stray from these words, expressing his disapproval of the world’s social problems, injustice and inequality. The song starts with percussion and bass, welcoming a compelling drum rhythm. Melodious keys and a prominent horn section add more depth to the groove of the song.

Tosin’s vocals enter with backing singers singing harmoniously, “aye ooo (meaning “this life” or “this world”), what are we gonna do, where are we gonna go?” which develops into a call and response. Tosin continues, “What are we gonna do, where are we gonna go, to find peace and justice and love in this world?” The triumphant horns come in again, followed by a keyboard solo played with dexterity and after a few bars a trumpet solo follows, delivered with  much sincerity.

The groove of this song is contagious, the arrangement is great, and all through the song you can feel the bass drum touch your heart.

The story behind Penguin Cafe Orchestra is always one worth retelling. In 1972, Simon Jeffes experienced a sort of recurring hallucinogenic dream caused by food poisoning. The dream was about a lifeless concrete building containing equally lifeless inhabitants. “The scene was for me one of ordered desolation,” he said.
But after feeling somewhat better he went to a beach and, from there, the first line of a poem “I am the proprietor of the Penguin Cafe. I will tell you things at random” came to mind. It was here that an imaginary and self-contained world, all built around spontaneity and creativity and framed within this imaginary cafe, began to form.
This creation inspired the music one would hear in the cafe. “It’s the sort of music played by imagined wild, free, mountain people creating sounds of a subtle dreamlike quality,” said Jeffes. “It is cafe music, but cafe in the sense of a place where people’s spirits communicate and mingle, a place where music is played that often touches the heart of the listener.”
Simon Jeffes passed away in 1997, with the likes of Music for a Found Harmonium and Telephone And Rubber Band just two hugely memorable – and much used – examples of the work he left. Fortunately, his son Arthur was determined to carry on playing his father’s work and in 2009, formed Penguin Cafe. However, it isn’t all a case of like father, like son; Arthur is a fully-fledged composer himself and The Red Book is Penguin Cafe’s second album, following on from 2011′s well-received A Matter Of Life.
