The soundtrack to the 1995 Jim Jarmusch western-themed film of the same name starring Gary Farmer and Johnny Depp as William Blake. Accompanying the film is this album featuring instrumental music composed by Neil Young and performed entirely solo, mostly on electric guitar. The only vocal contribution is by Depp, whose reading of segments of William Blake’s poetry is integral into Neil Young’s music.

Το συγκρότημα Λευκή Συμφωνία υπήρξε ένα από τα καλύτερα της δεκαετίας του ’80 (και του ’90). Μια μπάντα, που μετά από 35 χρόνια παρουσίας στη σκηνή υφίσταται ακόμη (έστω και μετά από ένα μεγάλο κενό διάστημα), δίνοντας συναυλίες (όπως εκείνη της 7ης Δεκεμβρίου στο Gagarin 205 και της 26ης Ιανουαρίου στο AN Club) και γράφοντας καινούριο υλικό, που, κάποια στιγμή, λογικά, θα μετατραπεί σε κάτι χειροπιαστό.

Προσφάτως, και με αφορμή την επανεμφάνιση των Λευκή Συμφωνία, ξανατυπώθηκαν δύο ξεχωριστά άλμπουμ τους από το παρελθόν, από τις εταιρείες Labyrinth of Thoughts / The Lab Records. Το ένα είναι το παρθενικό τους «Μυστικοί Κήποι», που είχε κυκλοφορήσει από την EMI/ Columbia το 1986 και το άλλο είναι τα «Χρώματα», που είχε τυπωθεί από την FM Records, δέκα χρόνια αργότερα, το 1996. Οι εκδόσεις κόπηκαν σε 400 αντίτυπα (η κάθε μία) χρωματιστών βινυλίων και βάρους 150 γραμμαρίων, με νέο ανανεωμένο mastering (σε επιμέλεια από τον Νίκο Στυλίδη), συν innersleeves (με στίχους, φωτογραφίες κ.λπ.). Ευκαιρία, λοιπόν, να ξανακούσουμε τους δίσκους…

Edmund “Ed” Kuepper (born 20 December 1955, Bremen, West Germany) is an Australian guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. He co-founded the punk band The Saints (1973–78), the experimental post-punk group Laughing Clowns (1979–85) and the grunge-like The Aints (1991–94). He has also recorded over a dozen albums as a solo artist using a variety of backing bands. His highest charting solo album, Honey Steel’s Gold, appeared in November 1991 and reached No. 28 on the ARIA Albums Chart. His other top 50 albums are Black Ticket Day (August 1992), Serene Machine (March 1993) and Character Assassination (August 1994). At the ARIA Music Awards of 1993 he won Best Independent Release for Black Ticket Day and won the same category in 1994 for Serene Machine.
